Steak Perfection

At The Cowdray Arms, we are passionate about delivering the ultimate steak experience. Our signature steaks are sourced from premium Hereford cattle, renowned for their exceptional quality and flavour. Raised in the lush pastures of the English countryside, our beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 45 days, allowing the meat to develop a rich, deep flavour and unrivalled tenderness. Each cut is then expertly grilled over charcoal, searing in the natural juices and enhancing the smoky, bold taste that sets our steaks apart.
 

We believe that every detail matters when crafting the perfect steak. Whether you choose to pair your steak with our indulgent bone marrow butter, classic béarnaise, or robust peppercorn sauce, each bite promises a melt-in-the-mouth experience. We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Cowdray Arms! Our meal started with perfectly cooked scallops, accompanied by a sauce so delicious we couldn’t resist grabbing spoons to finish every drop. For our mains, we both opted for the slow-cooked pressed lamb breast, served with potato croquettes, heritage carrots, and jus. 
 
We also stayed for one night, and from the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming. Our room was immaculate, newly decorated, and greeted us with the fresh scent of eucalyptus. 
 
A special mention to our waitress, Fatima, who was attentive without being overbearing. Her expert knowledge of the menu helped us order with confidence, and she always seemed to appear right when we needed her.

Our recent Sunday lunch at the Cowdray Steakhouse was an absolute treat. The new owners have certainly elevated the dining experience to a whole new level. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly hospitality. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home.


The food was simply superb. The quality of the ingredients was exceptional, and the dishes were expertly prepared. Each bite was a flavor explosion. The atmosphere in the restaurant was inviting and relaxed. It was the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely Sunday lunch with family or friends.


If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend giving the Cowdray Steakhouse a try. You won't be disappointed!

We visited just 1-weekafter reopening to one of our favourite local pubs.
The food was 10/10 veg a little light on quantity, but otherwise was really good. We had beef cheek, Pork belly & Seabass.
Service was spot on, back to being a regular place to visit, lovely local walking, what not to like.
